THE WHY?
I think it’s essential for a person to define what they are trying to accomplish by putting their art out into the world (be it writing, music, speaking, painting, creating, starting a movement, changing the world etc.).
This page is overdue as I should have had this in place before I got started. However, on second thought and in the spirit of taking my own advice, I fell forward into starting to put my contributions out there. So, no regrets. Very simply, this page is for all of my fans, followers and readers. I will make an attempt to clearly and concisely explain why it is I am doing what I’m doing and what I hope to accomplish. Here are my three (3) goals. You can put them in any order. My hope is to make simultaneous & steady progress on these goals as they are not mutually exclusive but interdependent.
BUILD A GREAT COMMUNITY!
- I Love People: My desire to build a community of fans and followers is fueled by my love for people. I believe that God created all of us uniquely and beautifully and that we all have a great purpose in life. I enjoy the beauty of the way that we’ve all been made so differently. It’s a tapestry. It’s art! I’m interested in connecting with people who get what I am about and like what I do. It’s that simple, really.
- I Love to Help: My sincere interest is to foster a community of people who interact with each other, genuinely care for one another and truly serve one another. What good does it do for us not to help each other reach our potential by harnessing our collective energy? The sum is greater than the parts of the whole.
- I Love to Share: I believe we all have special gifts to share. Many of you are probably heads and tails more gifted than little old me. My goal is to give you the gifts that I’ve been given. I’m hoping they will encourage, help and bless you.
- I Love the Internet & Social Media: In order to help facilitate a growing and dynamic community, I’ll utilize the Internet, Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and any other social tools that I think will benefit this tribe. I’m a simple man, so I’d rather use less than more to accomplish relational connection.

Writing:
- My writing goals include doing blog posts on this site, initially, and potentially developing some other unique, niche blogs in the future. It will always be free to for my readers to receive these posts and free to subscribe to all my blogs. Currently I’m posting on Mondays and Thursdays. I’m going with the “less is more” philosophy for now. Between my posts, I love to tweet and talk about other people. That’s what I do!
- My writing goals also include producing electronic articles & books for my fans and followers. Some of these pieces will also be free and some will cost money. Ultimately, I’d love to build a sustainable business that will support me and my family.
- My blogs and web sites will eventually include some affiliate links & products on them. An affiliate link is a link where I’m helping someone else by marketing their products. In turn I get compensated monetarily. I promise that I will not clutter this site (or other ones) with gaudy links and products. Each one will be a product that I stand by 100%. They will be things that I believe in. These links may include my own e-publications and music. Again, my ultimate goal would be to build a small business online that sustains my family and I.
Music:
- My musical goals include writing and producing as many songs & albums as I can while I’m on this planet. This music (be it albums or single releases) will be sold over the internet for those fans that connect with me and my music. So far, I’ve only released one album–2007, You Are Near. You can sample and buy it HERE.
- My musical goals also include the desire to perform for a living doing music all over the world. Dream big and start small, right? I will be including a concert & venue schedule in the near future that will most likely be linked to Facebook and MySpace.
- As part of my musical art, I’d like to focus on special music projects for causes and organizations. These projects will help me connect my passion for music to initiatives and people I believe in. Some of this work may entail the continuation of a creative outlet in the area of commercial radio jingles.
Speaking:
- My speaking goals include a desire to communicate with different groups of people that want to be inspired by stories of hope, faith and passion. Some of these venues will, no doubt, be done out of the goodness of my heart without any compensation (for groups & people I care most about). Some will fit into my goal to build a sustainable business for my family.
- My speaking goals are also focused on the creation, production and sharing of short videos for people who are interested. I’ll use YouTube to share these with you and they will always be free on this medium of communication.
CHANGE THE WORLD:
- This is the part that is the most exciting to me. When we find the courage to live out our convictions and share our gifts with the world the results are astounding.
- Changing the world for me means that I’m living for LOVE and I’m fulfilling a greater purpose.
- We can make a difference just by changing ourselves first and by living respectfully and peaceably with those around us.
- We live in a time where we have an unprecedented opportunity and unparalleled tools to do the most good for the world around us.
- If you’re reading this, I want to thank you for giving me a shot. I’ll do my best to give all I can to make a difference. I hope we can interact and have fun together on this journey.
